ELKI Gourmet was founded in 1984 by a passionate entrepreneur who started out by helping to market high-quality preserves from Denmark to gourmet products trade shows. The demand eventually led to the creation of a new company which the founder named after his daughters, Elizabeth and Kirsten. Over the years, ELKI Gourmet expanded their product line to include an array of delicious spreads, preserves, tapenades, crackers, and pestos. Today, ELKI sells its products to specialty shops, kitchen stores, delis, upscale grocery stores, and gift basket companies.
